Alexander Fisher (1905-76) was a dancer born in Prague who, according to IMDb, appeared in MGM’s 1934 musical, Hollywood Party. The film also featured his wife, Ruth Harrison, though it is unclear whether or not they were married at that point.
As Harrison and Fisher, a ballroom dance team, he became well known in the 1930s and 40s, with several Broadway appearances. The pair were famous for introducing comedy into their dance routines, subverting their highly-skilled performances with comic mistakes.
