There are two possibilities here. Either:
a) The Assistant Manager in MGM’s Student Tour was played by Dick Farnham, as claimed by the AFI Catalogue and IMDb, an actor with no other credits and about whom nothing is known. Or
2) The Assistant Manager in MGM’s Student Tour was played by Dick Foran, as also claimed by IMDb. Plenty is known about John Nicholas Foran (1910-79), who acted in over ninety pictures and dozens of television episodes. He was a band singer who became a singing cowboy. His many non-singing performances included roles in The Petrified Forest (1936), My Little Chickadee (1940), The Fighting 69th (1940), Fort Apache (1949) and Donovan’s Reef (1963). In 1943, Foran starred on Broadway in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court.
