Florence Ethel Brunskill (1883-1956) was a British-born stage actor who made her first screen appearance in Frank Borzage’s Secrets (1924).
Wix had credited roles in her early pictures, but was soon making predominantly uncredited appearances in films such as Mr Deeds Goes to Town (1936), Easy Living (1937), Mr Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Mrs Miniver (1942) and The Farmer’s Daughter (1947).
If MGM wanted a female party guest, they would send for Florence Wix, who was uncredited in thirteen of the studio’s musicals: Hollywood Party, The Bohemian Girl, Maytime, A Day at the Races, I Dood It, Two Girls and a Sailor, Anchors Aweigh, Good News, Luxury Liner, Summer Stock, The Band Wagon, Athena and High Society.
