June Bixler [?] (1917-2007) lived for ninety years, and spent just three of them as a Hollywood chorus girl.
Her first screen appearance, when she would have been just sixteen, was in MGM’s Dancing Lady. Surviving materials suggest that she might have featured in the robot wedding dance, which was filmed but then cut from the final film.
After four more appearances, including Al Jolson’s Wonder Bar (1934), her career would seem to have been over. She was married to songwriter Mack Gordon from 1939 to 1948, but the remainder of her life is, for now, a mystery.
