Canadian James Peter Durkin (1876-1934) worked in regional theatres in the United States before making his Broadway debut in 1906.
Durkin worked in silent cinema in the period 1913-16, though mostly as a director, often on films starring his then-wife, Maude Fealy. His career as a screen actor began properly in 1930, frequently in uncredited roles.
In 1931, Durking appeared as a detective in Flying High.
